Organized by 36 members of the Searsville Baptist Church, it was originally known as the Baptist Church of Christ of Valley Mills. It originally met on the second floor of the wood-frame school building. In 1889, a committee was appointed to select a site and construct a church building. The name was changed to the First Baptist Church of Valley Mills in 1892. |
